Rob is responsible for the stations training organization. This includes overseeing all training activities of operations, maintenance, engineering, chemistry, and radiation protection departments. His guidance and leadership help to ensure all regulatory requirements are being met and training is provided in accordance with ACAD requirements for each discipline.  This ensures station personnel are highly competent and proficient to promote safe and error free operations to generate electricity for our customers.

Byron Generating Station’s two units produce enough electricity to power more than two million average American homes and the site consistently ranks in top quartile performance for capacity factor, refueling outage performance and production cost.

Professional History
Rob has more than 15 years of experience in Exelon, beginning as an Equipment Operator in 2003.  He has held positions of increased responsibility as a licensed Senior Reactor Operator, Shift Technical Advisor, Shift Manager, Shift Operations Superintendent, and Operations Training Manager at Byron Generating Station, prior to becoming the Site Training Director in 2018. Prior to joining Byron Station, he was a member of the United States Navy, as a Reactor Operator on a Nuclear Submarine.

Rob holds a master’s in business administration from Keller/DeVry University, bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from California State University San Bernardino, as well as and a Senior Reactor Operator license.

Rob lives in Roscoe, IL. with his wife, Anna, and his three children, one son, Robert, and two daughters, Olivia and Victoria.
